Eagle with lunch

Another great morning for watching the birds. An American Bittern and a King Rail, both difficult to get a picture of, were out of the grass and posed briefly for photos.  A Wood Duck landed close by and I was able to get some photos of him too. I’ll post those later.

This guy did a pass over the water and came up with a pretty good size lunch. He landed on a platform that is part of the Celery Field nature area and had his fill.  Afterwards a variety of other types of birds stopped by and got what they could of the leftovers.
