sculpture of goose eating a golf ball

I don’t explain them, people, I just take the photos. Maybe it is about the inherent conflict between nature and man’s leisure time activities.  Or, maybe the artist is a golfer and actually had a golf ball stolen by a goose.  Perhaps it is a obscure but clever reference to Greek mythology.  I have no idea.

At least I think this is supposed to be a goose.  This was from a visit to the DeCordova Museum in Lincoln Ma. and was one of the many outdoor sculptures they have on the grounds.
