Morning walk on Lido Key beach
I drove to the Lido Key public beach yesterday and arrived just as the sun was starting to come up. I think that there was only one other car in the parking lot, and that had brought a couple of fisherman to do some early shore casting. The tourist season is mostly over so the hotels are relatively quiet and most of the people on the beach are either doing their morning “power walks” or collecting shells. Temps are now in the low 70s at sunrise.
I started just to the south, along the beach in front of some hotels:
Then turned around and went North past the parking lot and Lifeguard stations:
And finally, just chilling out on the beach and watching the Skimmers come over from their nesting area and taking a quick bath in the waves.
