Dragonfly

I’m very happy with this photo because of the way it was taken. For a few months now my “walking around” camera” has been the Panasonic GX8 and the Panasonic/Leica 100-400mm lens.  It is light, small, and has great image quality.  Because the GX8 is a 4/3 camera the lens has the 2X multiplier so the 100-400 is the equivalent of 200-800mm.

I was on a boardwalk at the Celery Fields when I spotted the Dragonfly.  It was maybe 8 feet or so from the boardwalk, sitting on top of some tall grass.  I put the lens out to the full 400mm and took some shots.  This is one of those.  Not bad for such a distance.
